The term is ending. You might have thought that the teachers would have giving us a slight break, but no, they did the exact opposite, increasing our workload and stretching us to the breaking point. Well, it is in part due to procrastination, but that is not the point. =)
However, it has not been all gloom!
Last Friday, I received a letter informing me that I had been award the DSTA YDSP Scholarship! It cannot really be called a scholarship, seeing as it is bond free and the monies awarded is rather low for a "scholarship" (I'm not being snobbish, just stating a fact), but I am not complaining. Who can't use a free gift of thousand dollars? And the way it is given (a part is only given if one gets above a B grade for all subjects next year) will surely ensure that I do not slack too much (not that I can in this demanding environment...).
Then, on Sunday night, icing on the cake came in the form of an email telling me that I had qualified for the IEEE Islandwide Quiz second round! I had only gotten 41/60 for the first round so I did not actually expect this, especially since its so long after I completed the first round of the online quiz (wont a program mark and place everyone in say at most an hour?). But again I am not complaining. Now I will have to go for the second round at NTU on Saturday.
Thats all for now: I have to complete my French homework, CL compre (which I missed last week), and prepare for my Math Graph TA and French Petit Test which takes place tomorrow... I will also have to find time to do up my English Blog Project (due tomorrow midnight).
And I have nothing to look forward to during the holidays...
