Apart of NSC and IJSO, the past 2 weeks were also lighted up by RI's Differentiated Modules Programme, aka DMP. It was a real breather for us, weeks ahead of our EOYs, for we could practically choose to take up any module we found interesting, and it was a much needed deviation from the routine school life.
I actually took up 48 hours of DMP during these two weeks (I was required to take only 30), unlike many of my friends who took the bare minimum so as to mug for EOYs. I mean, DMP is really such an interesting and refreshing experience where we can learn what we don't have an opportunity to learn in the classroom.
Luckily for me, all of the teachers who taught the modules I took were rather good, and they helped make my dmp experience a fun one, so now I have absolutely no regrets about taking all those fun courses, which included number theory, analytic chem, translation, and some other science module.
Oh, and apart from NSC practices during my DMP, French EOY also took place this monday (on the second last day of dmp!). So it wasn't exactly that relaxing, but still, it was not too bad, what with rounds of scrabble in between NSC practices =). And for the record, I reckon the french paper was easy, so yes, im so going to do what I haven't managed to do for the past 2 years - get 4.0 gpa for french. :P
